I am an Assitant Professor at  Ranbir & Chitra Gupta School of  Infrastructure Design and Management,  IIT Kharagpur, India.

​

I work in the area of Data Mining, Digital Image Processing, Visualization of spatial data, Urban planning, Machine Learning, Remote Sensing, Urban observatory, Spatio-temporal Pattern Analysis using Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).

​

My under grad education was in Electrical Engineering from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore University. A Ph.D. on Modelling Landscape dynamics in Faculty of Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. After completion of my Ph.D., I continued my research as a Post-Doctoral Junior research associate at IISc.

Post my thesis defense i continued my Post-Doctoral with University of Southern California and Indian Institute of Science for 1 year 6 months as Senior Research Associate.
